or drop them here. JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more.

How to use the JPG to PDF

  1. 1Click Choose images or drop your photos onto the box.
  2. 2Use the arrows to put the images in page order.
  3. 3Pick a page size, orientation and margin.
  4. 4Click Convert to PDF and download your document.

How JPG to PDF works

A PDF can hold images directly, just like a photo album holds prints. The tool creates a new PDF and gives each image its own page, in the order of your list. JPG and PNG files are placed into the PDF exactly as they are, so there is no second round of compression and no loss of quality.

Other formats need one extra step. WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images are drawn by your browser and saved as JPG (or PNG, if the image has transparent areas). iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPG with a small decoder that runs in your browser. All of this happens on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Page size, orientation and margins

Setting What it does
A4 or US Letter Every page has the same paper size, ready to print. Each image is scaled to fit inside the margins and centred.
Same size as the image Each page is exactly the size of its image, with no white bands.
Auto orientation Wide images get landscape pages and tall images get portrait pages.
Portrait or Landscape Forces every page the same way, scaling images to fit.
Margin None, small (20 points, about 7 mm) or large (50 points, about 18 mm) of white space around each image.

Images are never cropped or stretched. They keep their proportions and shrink or grow until they touch the edges of the area inside the margins.

How “same size as the image” is measured

PDF pages are measured in points, where 72 points make one inch. The tool treats each image as 96 pixels per inch, the standard screen density, so:

page width in points = image width in pixels × 0.75

A 1,200 × 800 pixel image becomes a 900 × 600 point page, which is 12.5 × 8.3 inches. A large phone photo makes a large page, but PDF readers zoom it to fit your screen, and printers scale it to the paper.

Worked example: sending receipts for expenses

You photographed four receipts with your phone: three HEIC photos and one screenshot in PNG.

  1. Choose all four files. Each one shows a small preview; the HEIC photos show “Preparing…” for a moment while they are converted.
  2. Use the arrows so the receipts are in date order.
  3. Keep A4, Auto and a Small margin.
  4. Click Convert 4 images to PDF and download images.pdf.

The result is a 4-page PDF. Photos taken in portrait mode stay upright, because the tool applies the rotation your phone stored with each picture.

Photo orientation explained

Cameras often save every photo the same way round and add a small tag, called EXIF orientation, that says “turn this 90° to the right” or similar. Some converters ignore that tag, which is why photos sometimes appear sideways in a PDF. This tool reads the tag and turns the image as it places it, without re-encoding the photo. If a page still comes out the wrong way, fix it with Rotate PDF.

Tips

  • Keep the PDF small. Phone photos are often 3–5 MB each. Shrink them first with Compress Image, or compress the finished file with Compress PDF.
  • Only need a JPG from an iPhone photo? HEIC to JPG converts photos without making a PDF.
  • Adding photos to an existing PDF? Make a PDF from the photos here, then combine both files with Merge PDF.
  • Need images back out of a PDF? PDF to JPG does the reverse.
  • Scanning paper documents with a phone? Shoot from directly above in good light, then use A4 with a small margin for a clean, printable result.

Common conversions

Frequently asked questions

Which image formats can I convert?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and HEIC photos from iPhones. JPGs and PNGs are added as they are; other formats are converted in your browser first.

Will my photos lose quality?

No. JPG and PNG images are placed in the PDF without being compressed again. To make the PDF smaller afterwards, use Compress PDF.

Why are my phone photos the right way up here but sideways elsewhere?

Phones often save photos sideways with a note saying how to turn them. This tool reads that note, so every page comes out upright.

Can I put several images on one page?

Not at the moment. Each image gets its own page, sized to fit A4, US Letter or the image itself.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The PDF is created in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
