Converting centimetres to feet in real life
Almost everyone who searches "cm to feet" wants a height. The converter gives decimal feet (170 cm = 5.577 ft), but nobody says "five point six feet". To get feet and inches, multiply the decimal part by 12: 0.577 × 12 = 6.93, so 170 cm is 5 ft 6.9 in, which most people would round to 5 ft 7 in.
